A New Path

Senju Hayashi was running through the forest, leaping from branch to branch in the canopy, moving quickly. He and his companion had a mission to complete. It was not one which had been sanctioned by the higher-ups, but one that Hayashi hopes they would eventually come to understand. No one would come looking for Hayashi for a long time, hopefully. Unless his superiors needed his specific talents for a mission, his absence could go unnoticed for quite some time. But eventually they would be found out, and then the hunter nin would come. Thus, time was of the essence. That thought in mind, Hayashi speed up even more. They were trying to get to Grass Country, to set up a temporary base of operations. Once there, they would plan out their next move. Hayashi periodically glanced behind him to see if his companion was still with him.

"We'll been in Kusa soon, Sessou..."

Sessou chased behind him. Several thoughts were exploded through his mind...What they were doing could have them hunted..and what they were doing would make history. Being a regular jounin Sessou could be called at any time so he knew he had to hurry for his absense would be noticed soon. Sessou then thought of Rasshu, his genin whom he left behind. He thought the thick headed boy would do fine on his own...he never got to explain why he had to leave, however he was sure he would see Rasshu again someday. Sessou continued to follow closely behind Hayashi towards Kusa.

"How deep into Kusa should we travel", he asked. As the two travelled, they were sure to cover their tracks so they couldnt be traced easily.

Hayashi was silent for a moment as they flew smoothly through the trees. He was thinking. He'd been to kusa multiple times, in some pretty obscure places. There was however, a forested and mountainous area that would serve their purposes well. The area Hayashi had in mind was located at the southern edge of Kusa, near the Ame border. The forested, mountainous area would make it easy to hide themselves.

"Deep. We'll have to traverse the entirety of kusa, however the area I have in mind is isolated. No one will find us there."

He said after a moment of thought.

Sessou nodded. Kusagakure seemed like probably the best place to go hiding now. Sessou hadnt been to Kusa as much as Hayashi, but he has been there a few times. Hayashi had to led the way. Sessou just followed behind him. "Alright then...", Sessou said.

After traveling for quite some time, without rest, avoiding kusagakure patrols when necessary, the pair arrived at their destination. They were fifteen kilometers from the Ame border. Far enough away to ensure security. They stood at the foot of a small forested mountain range. The first of the trees was right in front of Hayashi and the forest that followed stretched upwards covering most of the face of the mountain. There were small glades and valleys strewn all throughout the area.

They had been fortunate enough to not have had any followers up until this point, but the sooner they hid themselves the better.

"We're here. Now all we have to do is find a suitable place to set up shop. Let's go."

Said Hayashi as he leaped into the air, landing on the first branch. A second leap brought him further into the forest, and on to a new path...

Once in Kusagakure Sessou knew it was now the two would be considered traitors. However if they found a good enough place to hide they wouldnt be found. Sessou just followed behind Hayami into the forest, knowing Hayashi would know the perfect place to "Set up shop". The two would continue running until they found this perfect spot with would serve as their hideout until they took over a village.
